先日、ちょっと特別な夜があった。

The other day,
I had a rather special evening.

海外から一人でいらした
女性のお客様。

A female customer who came alone
from overseas.




最初は少し緊張気味だったけど、
話してみたらもう止まらない！

At first I was a little nervous,
but once we started talking,
both she and I had so much fun
we couldn’t stop chatting!

たくさん話せて、本当に楽しかった。
こういう時間って、言葉を超えて
通じ合う瞬間があるんですよね。


We talked so much,
and it was truly enjoyable.

Moments like these—
there are times when we connect beyond words.

That part is also incredibly enjoyable.

本当にありがたい！

正直、僕自身は時間的に
簡単に海外にはいけない。

こうやってお店にいながら
異国交流ができるなんて、
本当にありがたいことだと思う。


But,
being able to connect with people

while working here in the shop like this—
I truly feel so grateful for that.

世界の人と笑い合えるって
最高っす。


In a corner of Kesennuma,
being able to laugh together with people
from around the world
is the best.

改めて
寿司ってすげーって
思いました。

I realized how amazing sushi is.

伝えていく。
まさにハイブリッド型の交流。

でも、やっぱり一番大事なのは、
極力デバイスを挟まないこと。

But the most important thing is still

そこにちゃんと
心が通うんですよね。

デバイス越しだけじゃ味わえない
あの空気感。

寿司屋の舞台裏って
なかなか入れない場所だから、
彼女もすごく喜んでくれました。

The inside of a sushi restaurant
is a place you don’t often get to see.

She was really happy about it too.

だけど、
それ以上に嬉しいのは、
人と人との出会いが生まれること。

気仙沼の小さな寿司屋から
世界に笑顔が一つ増えた気がします。

from a small sushi restaurant in Kesennuma,
I feel like one more smile has spread across the world.

やっぱりこの仕事は
やめられないんだよなぁ。
